Two local students will be experiencing the trip of a lifetime in June as they represent NWEC on the Ohio's Electric Cooperatives Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. The annual leadership program is an all-expenses-paid, week-long trip.
During the trip, the students will have the opportunity to meet with their congressional leaders at the U.S. Capital, make new friends from across the state and country, and see many of the famous Washington, D. C. sights.
The students who will be boarding the bus in Columbus this year are: Brooklyn Wright, daughter of Hope and Corey Wright and Ashlyn Steury, daughter of Wilma and Michael Steury. Both students are sophomores at Hicksville High School. They will join students selected by the other Ohio co-ops to travel to the U.S. Capital where they will meet students from across the nation.
We look forward to hearing about their adventures after they return in June.
