All the balloon activities for the 2021 Montpelier Bean Days Balloon Festival were unfortunately cancelled due to inclement weather which meant that the winner of our free balloon flight contest, Karen Gardner, didn't get to enjoy her prize in July. We remedied that by rescheduling the flight for August 6th, when the balloons were in the area again. And because we had two balloons available, our alternate winner, Theresa Chittenden, got to go too! The two hot air balloons launched from Hickory Acres Campground (near Edgerton) with the winners inside and they even took a "dip" in the pond on their way up!
