Failure to make payments on your electric account will result in a termination of your service. Some meters have a remote disconnect feature which allows your electrical power to be turned off by an employee at our office instead of by a lineman visiting your residence.
If your account is disconnected, the following fees will be applied:
Fees:
There will be an $60 disconnect fee charged to your account if the disconnection is done remotely. If the disconnection is done on-site, there will be an $100 disconnect fee charged to your account.
There is no additional charge for reconnection during office hours, however, if your account is reconnected out of our normal office hours, a reconnect charge will apply (this will be in addition to the disconnect fee):
- $100 - After hours reconnect
- $135 - Sunday/holiday reconnect
All balances and fees must be paid before reconnection will occur.
Reconnection of service:
Once you have settled your account with a payment, or made proper arrangements, you will be instructed to reset your meter. There is a black button located on the right side of the face of the meter. You will need to push that and then your power will be restored to full power.
