The event is open to the public and will feature tons of fun activities that will encourage kids of all ages to connect with local law enforcement officers.
Often the best way to share our electrical safety message is through live demos. The lineman shown above is performing a high-voltage demo for first responders and other employees at the Defiance County Emergency Management office.
NWEC partnered with Williams County first responders to conduct a “mock crash” designed to raise awareness of the potential tragic outcome of an accident caused by distracted driving. The activity was held at the Williams County Fairgrounds and attended by senior students from all the county high schools.
Operation Round Up Trust Board Chairman John Singer is shown presenting a $2,500 grant check to Paige Wesche, Assistant Director of Defiance County Economic Development, for the Defiance County Summer Manufacturing Camp for middle school students. Held June 10 - 13, the camp exposes the students to the variety of manufacturing careers available in our communities.
