Attention Members!
Due to the AMP Ohio transmission project on County Road 15 in Pioneer Ohio, Vaughn Industries has requested a planned outage for North Western Electric (NWEC) on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 affecting 18 service locations. Those members have been directly notified. The outage is scheduled to last from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (approximately 8 to 10 hours).
It is important to clarify that this planned outage is due to the ongoing work by Vaughn Industries as part of the AMP Ohio transmission project. Specifically, they have requested NWEC to de-energize the 7200 Volt line that supplies power to County Road 15, north of US Highway 20, to safely install a large pole using a crane. We understand that this is disruptive, but ensuring safety is our top priority; unfortunately, there is no alternate method to carry out this work without shutting off the power.
We realize that outages can pose significant challenges, but they are often necessary for various construction projects within the electrical industry. These planned interruptions allow us to perform essential maintenance, upgrade systems, and ensure the ongoing reliability of our services. Our commitment to safety means that we must adhere to stringent protocols, as safety violations can have dire consequences, including severe injury or even loss of life.
Regrettably, NWEC cannot assume responsibility for individual losses, including food spoilage or lost wages, during outages. We work hard to maintain dependable service, but there are circumstances beyond our control that occasionally necessitate temporary interruptions.
As a reminder, this planned service interruption will affect 18 service locations. Those members have been directly notified.
Please feel free to reach out if you have further questions or need assistance. We value your understanding and appreciate your patience as we navigate through this necessary service interruption.
Thank you for your cooperation.
