The power of gratitude

As Thanksgiving approaches, many of us take time to reflect on the people, blessings and opportunities that enrich our lives. November, after all, is a season of gratitude. But while gratitude is often associated with special occasions, I’ve found it most often in the small, steady reminders that life is full of goodness, even if it isn’t perfect.

That perspective feels especially meaningful this time of year.

We have much to be thankful for, even on our most challenging days. We’re blessed to live in a nation where we enjoy freedoms, opportunities, modern conveniences, meaningful work and the comfort of a safe place to call home. Here in our rural communities, we are surrounded by hardworking people who care deeply about their neighbors and take pride in supporting one another.

At NWEC, gratitude is woven into everything we do.

First and foremost, I am grateful for you, our members. You are the reason this cooperative exists. Your trust and support allow us to fulfill our mission of providing safe, reliable and affordable electricity while investing in the communities we serve. Without you, there is no cooperative.

I am also thankful for our dedicated employees. Every day, they work to keep the cooperative running smoothly and serve our members with professionalism and care. Whether it’s a member service representative answering a question, a technician maintaining equipment or a lineworker restoring power during a storm, their commitment makes a difference.
