Compensation & Benefits

Benefits and a competitive compensation make up an employee’s total employment package.  Here are some of the benefits that make North Western Electric Cooperative a great place to work.


 

Competitive Salaries

At North Western Electric, we work to ensure our compensation and benefit plans are competitive.

 

Medical Plan

Our High Deductible PPO Medical Plan provides protection against some of the costs of hospital, surgical and physicians’ services as well as other medical services. Full-time employees as well as eligible dependents are covered from the first day of employment.

Dental Plan

In addition to the Medical Plan, Dental coverage offers the best protection against the high cost of treatment with preventive and diagnostic care covered at 100%.  But when restorative work is needed it is good to know dental protection is available from the first day of employment.

Vision Plan

As with Medical and Dental, our Vision Plan helps pay for many services ranging from routine care to corrective lenses.

 

HSA

Employees may make pre-tax contributions for eligible health care and dependent care expenses to their HSA accounts to supplement the annual employer contribution.

 

Retirement Security Pension Plan

The Retirement Security Plan is designed to provide our employees with a regular, dependable source of income at retirement. It adds to Social Security and any other retirement income a person may have.

401(k) Plan

Allows employees to save a portion of their income for retirement on a pre-tax basis and provides several different types of investment options. Eligible employees are able to enroll after one year of service.

Basic Group Term Life Insurance

The Cooperative provides Group Term Life Insurance for its regular employees with a benefit totaling two times the employee’s base salary.  Employees have the opportunity to purchase at their expense additional supplemental life insurance for themselves and their dependents.

Long Term Disability Insurance

The Cooperative  pays 100% of the premium of Long Term Disability insurance which provides a continuous source of income should the employee become disabled and unable to work.

Accident Death & Dismemberment Insurance

The Cooperative provides AD&D Insurance coverage for all regular employees to protect  against accidental bodily injury caused by an accident anywhere in the world.

 

Paid Time Off (PTO)

The amount of Paid Time Off (PTO) that an employee receives is based on the number of full-time years of service.

 

Paid Holidays

Nine paid holidays are observed by the Cooperative annually.

 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

An EAP is offered at no cost to our employees. We recognize that, at times, all of us have troubles and concerns which we sometimes need outside help to resolve. We recognize this responsibility to our employees, but we also recognize our limits of involvement in our employees' personal lives. Since we want to help, we offer the EAP as a confidential source of support to our employees and their families.

Discounts

The Cooperative employees receive discounts from national and local vendors through our Co-op Connections Card Program.

 

Rural Cooperative Credit Union

All employees are invited to apply for membership in the Rural Cooperative Credit Union (RCCU).
